October 1st, 2010 Getting Ready for the 4th Monday and Halloween
We are excited that the 4th Monday Trade Days is continuing to grow in both vendors and customer response. We have made it through the first six months and new and exciting things are planned for this fall.
October 22 - October 24 will be our next Trade Days and we are expecting a scary number of people this month! We will have a Vendor Trick or Treat for Customers through out the weekend so please expect ghost, goblins and little princesses all about. If you feel in the spirit please dress accordingly. Special Prizes will be awarded during the weekend for outstanding costumes.
The Food Bank from Collin County will also be delivering bread and baked goods to be passed out to families in need. The delivery normally comes in on Saturday evening and food will be passed out on Saturday Evening and All day Sunday.

May 17th, 2010 Herald Democrat - Denison / Sherman Whitewright Fourth MondayTrade Days
The local American Legion Lodge No. 255 re-opened and began revitalization progress of the Whitewright 4th Monday Trade Days in April.
"Many positive reviews and comments were well received for the successful weekend, with more vendors present during that weekend than in the past few years," said a press release from the lodge. "There was a good customer turn out to support the re-opening."
City of Whitewright mayor and American Legion Park trustee Bill Goodson came out to wish well and even assist with the April weekend activities. In the past, Trade Days has brought many benefits to the city of Whitewright and surrounding areas. Local news media was also present, including The Whitewright Rose -- Texoma Enterprise on hand to witness the festivities and photograph the event. The re-opening and revitalization of the Trade Days should bring back a larger customer base for local business and greater exposure for Whitewright and Texoma, the press release states.
The American Legion will host May's 4th Monday Trade Days on Friday-Saturday-Sunday, May 21-23. Hours are from 7 a.m. to dusk each day. Parking is free. Based on information provided by the manager of the Trade Days, Andy Guiette, vendor turn out is expected to be almost double from last month, the press release states.
The Trade Days can host about 300 vendors and at the rate the Trade Days is growing, it is expected to be at full capacity in the near future, the lodge press release states,
The American Legion is also continuing to make repairs and changes to the Trade Days to make sure that all that attend have a safe and enjoyable time, the press release notes.
